PROJECT: FROM OUTSIDE TO INSIDE

Yesterday I posted an article about the most famous glass houses around the world. Magnificent. Magnificent cause 'homes in the glass make it lightweight. Magnificent because 'deceive the eye, creating spaces deepest. Magnificent 'cause allow to outer space to become part of the design and look of the interior. The walls break down and our "walls" become so bright and in constant motion, a single whole 'one with the environment. But if it 's true that they are beautiful, so it' s true that are impossible in crowded towns, where people live side by side. Anyway can be found ingenious solutions, allowing for homes and city apartments, to appropriate light and outdoor spaces. Below it there is a project done in an apartment in the crowded city 'of Milan, Italy.



The difficulty of bringing the light inside the apartment of an existing building in the center of Milan, given the depth of the building and the orientation is not adequate, urged to obtain a large central skylight, taking advantage of the existing terrace. The apartment has thus become a true appendix to the above new home, flooded with light at two levels. Surrounded by the roof garden above, it interacts and creates the new space below, which thus participates to environmental values ​​taken from the vision from below, permitted from the floor and glass roof of the new house.
