THE LUSTFUL YACHT GUILTY

Art, design and the nautical world meet in the megayacht Guilty, the boat of 35 meters designed by the renowned designer Ivana Porfiry and designed by Jeff Koons, a leading contemporary artists. The yacht is not only one of the larger boats, but has been called the greatest work of art signed by the artist. What is certain is that it does not go unnoticed hull with a rare and unique, created by Koons following different inspirations. Geometric shapes and colors with a strong call to pop art for a yacht that will be much talked about.

The world of sailing and in particular the field of mega yachts boats often offer beautiful and extravagant , where design and dreams of shipowners meet technology and luxury . Among the more eccentric Guilty yacht has a prominent place for the double signature of excellence : on the one hand Ivana Porfiry , the other that Jeff Koons has designed an outer frame of exception.
The yacht was commissioned by Dakis Joannou , Cypriot entrepreneur who is among the largest contemporary art collectors: the tycoon has therefore turned to an artist of the caliber of Koons for his yacht , customizing every detail .
The exterior shows contrasting geometric shapes with bright colors such as blue and yellow which are opposed to black and polka dots. The artist said he was inspired to Forbes camouflage pattern of the British ships of the First World War designed by Norman Wilkinson and known as " Razzle Dazzle " . To this were added other inspirations, as explained Koons , as the image of a "dialogue between the idea and the image of the pyramids of the oases and mirages ."
Many have noticed a closeness with the art of Roy Liechtenstein although Koons has made it clear that this influence was not thinking of the desired final product.
If the exterior is well characterized , the interior looks rather like a blank canvas : the artist has thought about the contrast between the environments that could be talked about natural light , illuminating the rooms with large windows and white. In this way, you can see other works of art that the owner wanted on board, not only in his cabin where stands a painting by Sarah Morris painted with the word Guilty in big red letters .
Guests can admire other paintings as Hex Mirror by Anish Kapoor, Untitle (Vision ) by David Shringley and neon installations by Martin Creed . All this makes the mega yacht Guilty boat not only unique, but the greatest work of Jeff Koons and a kind of private museum float.
