ANDY HALL "24 HOURS CHAIRS"

"24 hour chairs" by Andy Hall: four chairs per day, for six days

Practically a challenge. Then - some - even a performance and a work of design and decoration. First of all , however , this " 24 hour chairs " is a challenge. At the time , creativity and the matter in question : wood. A tour de force self-imposed which gave remarkable results.

Andy Hall is a designer from Chicago who founded the Manufacturing Hall with his small company which offers items of furniture and furnishings , all with a very special and very personal approach to materials always .

On 22 January this year, Hall has embarked on a business: design and build a chair every hour spent in space has also hosted the exhibition " Pop-Up Art Loop" in Chicago. Four chairs per day , for six days. Every time a project was drawn and then completed building a prototype. Practically a day of work distributed in less than a week .

The material was supplied by Rebuilding Exchange , a company that is responsible for recycling and reuse . The result is truly admirable. The prototypes of the chairs are great. Hopefully someone will take charge of the production.
